Model Call: The BUTCH Project

I’m building a portrait series celebrating butch women and the LGBTQ+ community, and I’m looking for people who want to be part of it.

This is a project about visibility. About showing the range, strength, and beauty of butch identity in a way the world doesn’t get to see often enough. If you’ve ever wanted a portrait that shows the real you, proud and powerful and exactly as you are, I’d love to photograph you.

What’s involved: A full portrait session at no cost to you. A relaxed, affirming, judgment-free experience. A few looks that reflect who you are. Professionally edited images from your session.

What I ask in return: Your time and your authentic self in front of the camera, plus permission to include select images in The Butch Photographer portfolio, website, and social media. You’ll always be treated with respect, and I’m happy to talk through any privacy preferences.

Who I’m looking for: Butch women and LGBTQ+ individuals of every age, body, background, and level of camera experience. You do not need to have modeled before. You just need to want to be seen.

Location: Eastern Shore studio, or on-location across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and parts of Texas.
